MEDTRONIC CRDM CAMPUS

This large corporate campus was delivered in a $78 million Design Build process without compromising quality and innovation. The campus was planned for phased construction of 1.5 million sf. The first phase included 1.2 million gsf in a complex program that included multiple uses and addressed corporate security concerns as well as a 4,000 vehicle employee parking structure.

Medtronic, a high tech, quality driven corporation, sought from the design build delivery a value and schedule driven process.Snow Kreilich Architects were asked to collaborate with Opus Corporation to deliver a new corporate campus and buildings that, not only delivered value and maintained quality, but also helped Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management reinvent their corporate organizational model to develop cross-disciplinary teams. Three eight story tower bars are connected by links, programmed with large meeting spaces to encourage cross-disciplinary work. Further, the design was to convey the high tech image of Medtronic as well as its commitment to quality and the health of its patient users.
