ORIGEN CENTER

Menomonie, Wisconsin

Envisioned as a place for the exchange of manufacturing knowledge, the building combines diverse corporate and production functions each housed within a distinct programmatic volume but joined by a broad linear corridor. Each function has its own discrete boundary to give it focus on it own mission, yet the exchange of ideas is promoted through their connection and shared facilities. We began with and elongated structural steel grid standing on a granite plinth. The taut enclosure of glass and cedar define distinct programs. Steel tube beams and deck are precisely detailed to be exposed throughout.
